Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic English Teacher to teach Grades 8 to 10 in our CBSE-affiliated school in Satara. The ideal candidate should be fluent in English, have a strong understanding of the CBSE curriculum, and possess a passion for teaching language and literature.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach English Language and Literature to students of Grades 8 to 10 as per the CBSE syllabus.
Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and assignments.
Focus on reading comprehension, grammar, writing skills, poetry, and prose.
Conduct interactive classroom sessions that build student interest and confidence in English.
Evaluate student performance through tests, classwork, and examinations.
Prepare students for CBSE board exams with a structured revision and practice approach.
Maintain academic records and communicate progress to parents.
Participate in school functions, PTMs, and extracurricular activities.
Promote reading habits and creative writing through activities and competitions.

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English or related discipline.
B.Ed. (mandatory or in progress)
Minimum 1 year of teaching experience, preferably in a CBSE school.
Excellent command of English - spoken and written.
Familiarity with CBSE curriculum, textbooks, and board exam formats.

Subject expertise in English language and literature
Classroom management and student engagement
Creative teaching methods and use of audio-visual aids
Communication and interpersonal skills
Strong writing and grammar skills
B.Ed. (mandatory or in progress)
